5 Tips to Help You Destress
Some days, life means running from one meeting to another or finding solutions to one problem then the next. It gets messy and hard, and before you know it, stress is not only hurting your ability to enjoy life, it's causing you physical pain from the tension. No matter how rough a day gets, it's possible to take a few minutes for yourself and destress.

Designate a period of time as cellphone- and screen-free
If you're constantly on your phone, you'll be tempted to read the news or check in on work when you're home. Disconnecting from your phone, laptop and TV—even if it's only for 15 to 30 minutes—will help you take a break from the world's distractions and enjoy the present, MindBodyGreen stated. You can use this chance to read, cook a new recipe or even take a nap.

Get out of the office or house and go for a walk
A short period of time outside can do wonders for the mind and body. Not only can it reduce the negative health effects associated with sitting all day, but being outside can relax your mind and help you gain some perspective. Molehills can become mountains if you don't have time to think so grab your jacket and head outside to walk and ponder.

Focus on your nose and mouth
Many people don't realize when they're anxious and stressed they tighten their jaw. This can lead to pain and dental problems. If you can tell you're getting busy or worried, take a minute to consciously loosen your jaw, PsychCentral recommended. If you have some privacy, open your mouth wide a few times to stretch the muscles. Additionally, take a few deep breaths in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.

Do something fun
The growth of smartphone games may seem ridiculous to some but they can also be the perfect few minutes of fun to add to your day. Figure out what you enjoy doing—it can be going for a run, drawing, playing an instrument, beating a new level on your favorite app or anything—and do that for a few minutes every day.

Count your blessings on your fingers
When something in life becomes a challenge, it can be easy to lose sight of all of the good things around you. When you're getting angry or frustrated, stop and count 10 things in your life you're grateful for, CNN advised. Don't stop at three or four because if you do, you're missing the point of gaining awareness and perspective.
